I had my first bridal shower last weekend in Visalia. It was a lot of fun. My Aunt Kris, Aunt Beth, and cousing Kathleen hosted it. It was decorated in my colors pink and organge. We had some good food and I enjoyed opening the first of my wedding presents. The wedding is feeling closer and closer!
This is our new puppy Nikko! He is a 12 week old german shepherd. He is keeping Rudy and I quite busy. We went to his first puppy training today and it went pretty well. He is still learning how to go on walks without sitting down! Wish us luck as we go through the puppy phase!

Rudy and I had a great Valentines Day. We went to the Hindquarter Bar and Grill in Santa Cruz. We both had really good steaks and calamari. Afterwards we went to Blockbuster and rented the movie Fireprooof. It turned out to be a great movie about learning to love one another the way God loves us. We made some really good chocolate mini cakes and exchanged presents. Rudy got me a nice make up bag from Victoria's Secret, and I got him a fire pit for our new house. This was our fifth Valentine's Day together. Each one just gets better and better.

Well there is more big news besides Rudy and I getting married and him starting his new career. We also recently bought a house! We searched for a house for about four months before we found the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. The house has three bedrooms and it's in one of Watsonville's best neighborhoods. We had to be picky about the area in which we lived because Rudy is a Police Officer. We needed somewhere where we would feel safe, and we found it. Hopefully if all goes well we will get to move in February 3rd. In the mean time we have been keeping busy going to the flea market and looking for bargains for our new house. Rudy will be moving in this February, and I will be moving in June after we get married. We can't wait to start our new life together in our new house!
Rudy started the Police Academy in July and after 5 months of hard work he graduated December 19. It was a huge honor after he went though so many different trials in the academy. He had to wake up at 5 in the morning every day and drive to the academy in San Jose. There were many late nights and long hours, not to mention the pepper spray day, which turned out to be a piece of cake compared to being tased by a taser gun. It was all worth it when he was sworn into the Watsonville Police Department on January 9th. I am so proud of him and I know he will make a great Police Officer. His first day on the job was today. He will be working the swing shift from 1 pm to 1 am. He is so excited to get started with his career!
