Our house

Well there is more big news besides Rudy and I getting married and him starting his new career. We also recently bought a house! We searched for a house for about four months before we found the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood. The house has three bedrooms and it's in one of Watsonville's best neighborhoods. We had to be picky about the area in which we lived because Rudy is a Police Officer. We needed somewhere where we would feel safe, and we found it. Hopefully if all goes well we will get to move in February 3rd. In the mean time we have been keeping busy going to the flea market and looking for bargains for our new house. Rudy will be moving in this February, and I will be moving in June after we get married. We can't wait to start our new life together in our new house!

Rudy Graduating

Rudy started the Police Academy in July and after 5 months of hard work he graduated December 19. It was a huge honor after he went though so many different trials in the academy. He had to wake up at 5 in the morning every day and drive to the academy in San Jose. There were many late nights and long hours, not to mention the pepper spray day, which turned out to be a piece of cake compared to being tased by a taser gun. It was all worth it when he was sworn into the Watsonville Police Department on January 9th. I am so proud of him and I know he will make a great Police Officer. His first day on the job was today. He will be working the swing shift from 1 pm to 1 am. He is so excited to get started with his career!

Our Engagement

Well I have finally decided to start a blog! Rudy and I had a big year in 2008 and an even bigger one to come in 2009. Just to recap 2008, Rudy and I got engaged on August 31st. He took me to Fresno Pacific University where we first met and asked me to marry me him. I was completely surprised. We had a good time celebrating in Fresno with my family over the weekend. Our wedding will be June 27th in Hollister at a golf course there called San Juan Oaks. It is coming up so quickly, I can't believe it!
